Homebrew DAS storage cheaper than cloud service? Sort of!
Using a spare Dell 2950, a Dell MD1000, and 15 1TB SATA drives that were on hand, we build out a DAS chassis to replicate our data to while factoring in the cost of doing it elsewhere!

I am a Sr. Systems Engineer by profession and am interested in all aspects of technology. I am most interested in virtualization, storage, and enterprise hardware.
